I’ve been running a local business for over 20 years and simply got used to renewing my insurance policy without giving it much thought…guess I got little lazy in that respect. Well, I finally decided to go to the market and double check how competitive my annual business insurance rate is. I first went to the national chains like State Farm, Farmers, and Allstate, as I somehow thought that based on their volume, they will be likely to offer the lowest rates. They all came in with fairly similar premium amounts, which was not far away from what I was paying presently, so nothing spectacular. Then, I’ve decided to ask around within the community, and more than one person has mentioned the local ISU Insurance office in Corona. I checked on these guys and found through their website that they are affiliated with over 400 insurance carriers, which was a signal that they will have insurance companies compete for my business and not the other way around! I called their office and ended up with Sean, who is their business insurance representative. What a good and helpful guy! Sean took a lot of time to understand in detail the nature of my business and then came the shocker. His rate came in at about 60% less than what I was paying for so many years. Couldn’t be more happy! If you are looking for business insurance, I strongly recommend Sean and this insurance office. Based on my situation, he explained to me that so many local businesses overpay their insurance premiums because their agent simply doesn’t take the time to understand their business and adjust the policy accordingly. Don’t do the same mistake that I did, and get your insurance re-rated every couple of years. You may be pleasantly surprised that you will pay much less!
