Our Memberships

Tasteful Cakes is a business of artistry. There are many forms of artistic expression, and our medium is cake. We find inspiration in each other, in paintings, in other’s work, in the world around us. It becomes a challenge, as we rise to meet customers’ requests and try to give them exactly what they want. Our cakes become centerpieces, and as such we create them as works of art in order to make our customer’s occasions that much more special. Many look upon our cakes and pronounce that they are simply too beautiful to eat. And while we are flattered by their excitement, we urge them to dig in—because our cakes our equally delicious as beautiful. The minds of Tasteful Cakes are constantly buzzing and bouncing ideas off one another in order to create new flavors, new methods, new techniques. We are continuously challenging ourselves and one another to flourish in efficiency and artistry. We spend many hours creating new and imaginative ideas for displays and products. Ideas that will provide the absolute best results in a price that is economically conscious.
Some of our greatest creations have come from events such as the Chocolate, Wine and Jazz Festival and the Toys for Tots drives. For the Chocolate, Wine and Jazz Festival, put on by the Soroptimists, the Head Decorator produced a true to size, completely edible cello. It stood upright through the use of metal structure (the only thing not edible in pieces such as these), and she painted color onto the chocolate that made the wood of the body…and it truly looked like aged wood. For the first Toys for Tots drive, the same decorator (who happens to be one of the owners), fashioned a large red sleigh filled with classic children’s toys. Again, it was completely edible save the structure. For the second year that Tasteful Cakes participated in Toys for Tots, we provided three cakes to be auctioned. The Head Decorator once again outdid herself with a topsy-turvy, upside down stack of presents with incredible use of structure. Holding up these presents were fondant figures of the three hosts of Fox 11’s Good Day L.A. In addition to this masterpiece, two other decorators also created stacks of presents. One of them was exceptionally stylish, using modern color combinations and creative shapes. She also created completely edible, ornate, chocolate ornaments to go on it. The other was an old fashioned stack of gifts, with mischievous mice, an eager puppy, and a sleeping kitten all made out of fondant.
These are just a few of the fantastic creations that have come out of Tasteful Cakes. We love when customers come in with no idea what they want. We invite them with great enthusiasm to trust us with the responsibility of constructing something marvelous out of nothing. All we request is a general theme, and poof! They are presented with an original, stunning work of art to present to whomever it is intended for. Our work is our passion, and our passion is to amaze our customers. To show them shapes and creations in cake that they never knew could exist. We teach them that everyone deserves greatness, despite all financial constrictions, and we provide them with just that.
